New Orleans Face & Body Painting is a mobile service that means, we come to you! All of our prices include travel to your location, within 30-miles of New Orleans.
We can travel as far as you need, however, all of our prices include travel to your location within 30-miles of New Orleans.
For locations outside of this area, a travel surcharge will be added to your final balance as follows:
Note: Travel further than 30 miles of New Orleans is NOT possible at the following times:
- Halloween Day/Night and the two Saturdays prior to Halloween
- Mardi Gras Day and the two Weekends prior to Mardi Gras Day
- Christmas Day
- New Years Eve
- Superbowl Sunday
Bookings made for locations further than 30-miles from New Orleans for the dates above will be canceled.
Yes! Your artist will be set to provide fabulous face paints, glitter designs, arm 'tattoos', and cheek designs. We're versatile and value ourselves in designs and paint for everyone kids, tweens, teens, and adults!
No, we do not apply henna. Due to safety concerns, the FDA has not approved henna for direct application to the skin, making Mehndi, the process of applying henna to the skin to create a temporary tattoo, illegal in the United States.
As an alternative, we have some fabulous designs using our FDA approved body paints that are safe and look fabulous!
Yes please! To allow for the fastest set-up & brakedown we ask you provide chairs & a table for your artist. This also allows you the chance to asign us a location prior to our arrival & the opportunity to match our setup area to your event. Each artist will need two chairs & a small table.
If you require us to bring our own table & chairs, no problem! Please just let us know when booking/at least 24-hrs prior to your event. Our own set up includes black chairs & table.
If your event requires us to setup in our own tent or gazebo, we can certainly provide this*, please just let us know. * Please note, due to setup time, tent setup can not be provided for appointments less than 4-hours in length.
Yes, during cooler months (October until May). During Louisiana's hot months (June, July, August, September), face painting is best undertaken in air-conditioning, so the face paint does not melt and to help the face paint last longer on the skin (even if your guests go outdoors after being painted). If your event is outdoors, we ask you locate us in a shaded area as face paints can melt in direct sun.
New Orleans Face & Body Painting uses water-based paint and, if in an air-conditioned or cool environment, your paint should stay in place until you wash it off. However, if you wish your paint to be longer lasting, or if you intend to wear your paint to an event, party, or in a humid environment, please let us know before hand and we can apply a make-up stabilizer before and after your paint to help your paint stay and look fresh for the entire day or evening!
Rules and laws on public decency vary from location to location and state to state. Body paint is often not considered adequate cover to be worn alone in a public location. Before wearing your paint in public, or a location where you can be seen by the public, please be sure to check the rules and laws in your location. For Mardi Gras, Halloween, Costume Party, or other body paint you may want to wear in public, we can paint you wearing a two piece swimsuit or other items of clothing at your request.
New Orleans Face & Body Painting uses FDA-approved, hypoallergenic body paints which are designed specifically for body painting. The paints we use are not tested on animals. If you require information on paint ingredients, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with this information.
New Orleans Face & Body Painting takes health & hygiene extremely seriously. We understand that safe customers are happy customers. New Orleans Face & Body Painting will comply with all health and safety laws, including wearing masks when required. If you would like your artist to wear a face mask at your event, we are happy to do this, please just let your artist know.

Deposits are non-refundable, however:
* If we can accommodate your needed date or time change, we for sure will!
* For cancelations made more than 7-days prior to your appointment, your deposit will be held in your name and can be applied to a revised date or future booking.
* Cancellations made less than 7-days prior to the event will forfeit the booking deposit.
* Bookings canceled within 24-hours of the appointment require payment in full.
Booking changes are subject to date/time availability.
Our minimum for event or party face painting is 2-hrs and we charge $220. We offer custom face paints for special events from $125, and of course we have body painting!
